Alice, Avril, Acrostics, and the poetry of World Cups
Our daughter, Alice, 8, had the unforgettable experience of walking onto the pitch at the Women's World Cup.
It started with an acrostic poem. Avril Horne, our Northern Falcons’ junior soccer Akela, had spotted a 50-word-or-less CommBank Minimates competition to win a chance for our girls to march out and anthem with stars of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
