'Today is our day-day for Tay-Tay'

That's how Jack greeted me this morning. We are going! The accessible booking form was our friend. Jack is taking his sister, Alice.

Jack has three concerts booked in for 2024. Coldplay on October 30th, Tenacious D on July 20th, And Taylor Swift tonight! Both he and sister, Alice, proudly declare themselves to be Swifties, and yes, there has been some bracelet-making action on the kitchen table.

I did love Jack’s reflection when we got to school today on fan nomenclature:

‘Dad, are Tenacious D fans called Teanciousies?’

Jack has transformed me into a Teanciousy, and he has made me a Swifty (of sorts) too. I’m looking forward to entering the whirlwind, if only to watch Jack and Alice in full flight.

I hope he copes with the noise.

The clip at top of page is the dance section of ‘The Heist’ movie Jack’s Shine Now acting class made in the last term of 2023. This film is about unscrupulous Arthur stealing Taylor Swift tickets from a sleepover full of superheroes. (‘Breathtaking, Good one Wilson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) The piano accompaniment is from one of the students, Zara, who plays Sailor Moon in the short)

The full movie, plus bloopers, is posted below.

Very grateful to be at the ‘G’ tonight. If you want to read a Tay-Tay piece from another Melbourne writer,

This is February 2024. I write this on a Friday morning, Melbourne time, from my apartment balcony…
