This video was recorded on pretty stiff pain medication, so it’s a taste of how I might have sounded if I spent more time around the Factory Records Tony Wilson at the Hacienda club back in 1981.
It’s basically me asking you to go paid, or to trial paid, because I’m hoping that the stories on here bring a bit of joy to your inbox. I’m also hoping people who haven’t read Good One, Wilson before will try a free subscription.
Sharing articles on social media doesn’t work any more. Zuck likes baby pics and wedding photos and Elon likes angry people and Onlyfans models, and both relegate external links that break your doomscrolling to the algorithmic scrap heap.
So I’m hoping the readers who do like Good One, Wilson will ‘go paid’, or maybe tell a friend to sign up for free, or even just heart emoji my posts so they get discovered and boosted by Substack.
